If you are anything like me, you’d rather invite a few friends over for New Year’s Eve than fight the masses at the bars downtown or in Broad Ripple. Not only will you save money on drinks, cover charges, and Uber rides, you will also be able to spend some quality time with your closest friends ringing in the New Year. If you plan to host a gathering, check out these DIY ways to make your night sparkle.
Make Party Hats!
Party hats, like the ones pictured above, are super easy to make and instantly make your party more festive. Even if they don’t stay on the whole night, at least snap a few photos!
Nothing says NYE like raining confetti. These poppers are so fun and colorful that you won’t even mind having to pull out the vacuum the next day. Learn how to DIY here.
Set Up a Sweets Table!
Another great thing about hosting a NYE party at your place: you can have snacks! Make or buy a few of your favorite baked goods, and set up a table with fun decorations that entices everyone to nibble.
Lastly, the Drinks!
Be sure to have plenty of champagne on hand for sipping all night and a cheers at midnight. I also like to make a big batch of a cocktail or punch, so guests can just pour and go. Less time in the kitchen and more time dancing!
