One of the best things about summer is the abundance of events going on. There is always something to do around here! I’m rounding up some of the most popular around the city, and I’m sure there’s something on the list for everyone.
Pennsy Trail Art Fair – Saturday June 27th
This one is right outside of Indianapolis – in Greenfield. There will be art vendors, live music, children’s art activities, and demonstrations – fun for the whole family! And proceeds benefit Mental Health Partners of Hancock County, so you can feel good about having fun.
20th Annual Indiana Microbrewers Festival – Saturday, July 18th
A little day drinking sound more up your alley? This one-day event in Military Park features more than 100 breweries – most from Indiana – pouring their best selections for you. Food vendors will also be on site to soak up that booze.
Indy Fringe Theatre Festival – August 13th-23rd
This festival is always super fun! It takes place around Mass Ave every August that focuses on the performing arts. There are over 300 performances at 8 different venues throughout the course of the festival. With that many shows, it won’t be hard to find something that interests you.
Indy Greek Fest – August 28th-30th
This fun weekend festival is a celebration of all things Greek. There will be dance troupes, live music, a marketplace, and so much food and drink, it will make your head spin.
Dig IN – Sunday, August 30th
Last but certainly not least, is Dig IN. This festival is really popular for a reason – local chefs, breweries, and wineries serve up their finest creations in sample sizes so you can taste a little of everything.
