The number one fear of first time Air-Tanners is that they will turn out looking orange. There are three main causes of the orange-ness or unnatural look with some other spray tans:
- A bad solution–There are a lot of solutions that are just plain orange, even if you go the lightest level. Some self-tanners are derived from carrots, which (duh) have an orange tint to them. Our Air-Tan solution does not have any carrot derivatives. We have worked very closely with a beauty lab to develop a very brown and natural color, and the formula is unique and our own–you will not find it anywhere else!
- Going too dark for your skin tone–What’s great about our well-trained technicians is that we can help you pick what color level would look best on your own skin tone. Going too dark of a level for your coloring (even with our awesome solution) can still result in an unnatural or orange effect. When in doubt, go on the lighter side, and we can always add a little more to make it darker.
- Not exfoliating properly--We preach, preach, PREACH about exfoliating your tan completely off. If you don’t, the areas with the old tan will just be darker or orange and the lighter areas will still be lighter. Also, when you exfoliate, we are spraying the freshest layer of skin possible, so this will ensure that your tan will last to its fullest potential.
