Sandal weather is finally here! Thank goodness because I’m tired of wearing boots and socks! But my feet aren’t quite ready for all my cute sandals just yet! I will admit, I neglect my feet during the winter. No one’s seeing them so why even bother with all that. But now that it’s time to let the toes breathe for the summer, I need to get them in shape! I found some good at-home tricks to get your feet ready for all the cuteness that is about to happen! Here are my at-home remedies that I’ll be trying out this weekend.
1. First off you want to get your feet well moisturized. The best way is to hydrate at bedtime. Using any type of moisturizer will work, like a Shea butter or Vaseline. This will help your heels from cracking and looking dry. I have really dry skin so I try to put lotion or some type of moisturizer on my feet before I head to bed.
2. I found a great at-home soak that I am really excited to try. It’s called a Listerine soak. You use 1/4 cup of Listerine, 1/4 cup of vinegar, 1/2 cup of warm water and soak your feet for 10 minutes. Once you take your feet out, the dead skin should be easy to remove. I know this sounds gross, but this will be so much easier than scraping your feet with a pumice stone. And I’m sure they smell great once out of the soak. Sounds like a win win!
3. The third at home trick you want to do when preparing your feet for summer is using a scrub. There are so many at home scrubs you can make yourself or buy at the drug store. I love using scrubs because it makes your skin feel so soft and silky! Now doesn’t that sound wonderful on your feet?
Use these three tips to get your feet ready for all your cute sandals! Don’t walk around with ugly, dry feet this summer. Do you have any tips or tricks I should try?
