Gold Leaf–I am SUPER excited about this new polish from my fave brand, OPI. OPI’s latest collection, Skyfall, is inspired by James Bond movies. My favorite of the bunch is called The Man with the Golden Gun. It is a topcoat that has real 18K gold flecks! So cool! This would look great over any deep jewel tone for fall.
Glitter Dipped–This is a trend that is totally easy to DIY. Pick a solid color as your base, and then use a contrasting color glitter polish. Paint one coat of glitter about 2/3 of the way down on your nail then do a second coat a little shorter and maybe a third layer. What’s great about this is that glitter polish lasts longer on your nails, so this manicure will stick around for awhile. This style of manicure was featured in the Behnaz Sarafpour runway show for New York’s fashion week.
“Caviar”–This is a trend that was also seen on the runways. This look is probably not very practical for everyday wear, but it would be cool to do one or two nails as an accent for a special occasion. This style of the three featured is definitely the most time-consuming. You can buy a caviar nail kit from Sephora for $25, but you can DIY it for much cheaper by getting some drugstore nail polish and some glass microbeads from a craft store. I found a Martha Stewart variety pack on Amazon.
