I get this question all the time. One of the three main tips of taking care of your tan is to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! We do sell a moisturizing tan extender, but it is not always ideal in all situations. The Air-Tan Extender has bronzers in it, so that it helps your tan stay looking fresher for longer. The extender is great if you come in sporadically or if you are going on a vacation, but you don’t want to use it regularly if you come in on a weekly basis. As I’ve talked about before numerous times, you want to get all your tan OFF before coming back in again. Using the extender makes it that much harder for the tan to come off. Since I get sprayed weekly, I only use the extender when I go on vacations. My personal favorite regular moisturizer to use is Bath & Body Works’ triple moisture body cream. It comes in a ton of different scents that I love!
Honestly, no. We get asked this question all the time. After you’ve sprayed about two people, it all becomes the same. We seriously see ALL types of shapes and sizes daily, and I have yet to see someone with a perfect body–and I’ve been here for over three years. It does help that we require everyone to wear bottoms, but seeing ladies’ bare chests all day everyday is just another day at the office for me. We understand that even though it is normal for us, most people do get a little nervous the first few times that come in. We try to maintain a professional environment at all times, and making our clients comfortable is definitely one of our main priorities.
Will getting an Air-Tan harm my tattoos?
Definitely not. Granted, you wouldn’t want to get sprayed while your tattoo is fresh and still healing, but after the healing time has elapsed, it is totally fine to do. The Air-Tan solution is transparent, so it won’t cover up your ink either. All of the technicians here have at least one tat, and all of us get sprayed regularly without any issues.
