I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but one of the common themes through several of Katelyn’s and my blogs is exfoliation. It is the key to having an even and long-lasting tan. When you scrub off the dead layers of skin before you come in, that leaves us with the freshest layer of skin to spray onto, so that your tan can last to its fullest potential.
Exfoliating is especially important when you have on any self-tanner. I’ve seen a chain tanning salon advertise monthly memberships that you can spray tan for as little as $X amount a DAY. What? Who would want a spray tan everyday? All spray tan solutions have at least a few hours where you have to wait before showering or getting wet. Would you want to be wet and sticky several times a week? You NEVER want to layer a spray tan, so that whole get a spray tan for only a couple bucks a day is a falsehood.
I have been asked countless times if layering a spray tan on top of another is a good idea to help it last longer or get darker, and the answer to that is always NO. We like to equate it to trying to fix chipped nail polish with just painting a new, fresh coat over all the chips. It’s never going to look good until you completely remove the old layer. With our Air-Tan solution, you can get as much or as little color as you want with one session. Our tan will last 7-10 days (depending on your daily regimen), and you will be hard-pressed to find another solution that can give you a longer lasting tan than ours.
