Ever ziplined? I did in 2006 in the Mayan jungle near Cancun, Mexico with my dad, and it is my favorite memory of us that I will probably ever have. My dad has always been afraid of heights, and he had no idea what he was getting himself into. It was so fun to watch him be so brave climbing up high in the trees and then ziplining through them. It is exhilarating and I am so pumped that Indy just got our very own ziplining adventure at Eagle Creek park – just a short 10-minute drive from downtown Indy. It just opened in May and has had some really good reviews!
I live by Eagle Creek and frequent the park year round. It really is a beautiful setting on Eagle Creek Reservoir and I always see lots of wildlife roaming the hiking trails.
The ziplining adventure goes through and takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete. It is a mix of an obstacle course, tarzan swings, and canopy ziplines – up to 41 feet in the air!!! Reservations are preferred.
Make it a day at Eagle Creek. There are hiking trails, water foul sanctuaries, a fitness course, picnic shelters and playgrounds (LOTS!), a swimming beach, cross country trails, boating, dog park, and a shooting range! Entry into the park is $5 per car and GoApe! is $35 for ages 10-17 and $55 for adults 18 and over.
