Do-it-yourself gel nails? No way!! That’s what I said when a client of mine just told me she just did her own at-home Shellac manicure. A gel manicure, otherwise known as a no-chip manicure, can be as much as a $50 at Indy nail salons. No-chip manicures are waterproof, scratch resistant, and most importantly chip-proof – lasting 14 days. Best part? You don’t have to dry – instead, nails are placed under a UV lamp for just a few moments, where the polish instantly cures.
How can I do this at home? I don’t have a UV lamp! My aforementioned client, got her very own at-home gel nail drying station. It was a Christmas gift from a friend. Talk about the gift that keeps giving! You can find UV lamps, like this one, on Amazon for $25-65. The polishes are a bit more expensive than normal nail polish – around $10-22 a bottle, but if you are looking for a more economical way to do your nails, this is the way to go! The initial investment may be more than you wish to spend, but if you are like me and are pretty decent at painting your nails by yourself, this little investment will definitely pay for itself over and over again!

Wow. o_O
You don’t have to be a spray tan expert to know that this tan is a train wreck. This is the second time I’ve featured Courtney Stodden for sporting a horrible spray tan. Courtney posted this on her twitter account. Please look at how outrageously brown and offensive her hands and feet are, especially her palms. That is definitely not a natural look. The splotchy chest isn’t doing much for her either. Also, notice the lack of tan on her face in comparison to her extremely dark body–Yikes.

Eeek!
I’m not really sure what’s going on here. I can’t tell if this guy is serious or not due to the severe orange-ness of his face versus the paleness of his arms and hands. At any rate, he looks scary!

Brownnnnn
Dang, these girls look like they went the darkest level possible and then did not bother to shower off all of their bronzer before going out. Shiny and supa dark is NOT a good look, ladies!!

Don't we all look lovely? ;)
This fall, I was in one of my best friends’ wedding. Of course, all of us needed an Air-Tan for the big day. The wedding was in Terre Haute, IN, so I brought our Air-Tan mobile unit and sprayed everyone in our hotel suite the night before. (Did you know that we do mobile parties for groups of 5 or more? Call us at 317-254-8267 for more details!) We all did a level 2 or 3, and it goes to show you that different levels look different on each person. I did a 3, and I’m the one on the very far left.
Did you and your bridal party get sprayed for your big day? We’d love to see pictures!
