  2. Celebrities and Plastic Surgery…Have They or Haven’t They?

August 15, 2011 by Katelyn Fry

Celebrities and Plastic Surgery…Have They or Haven’t They?

This is Ashley Holmes from Real Housewives of New Jersey. Her nose looks a little different to me lately… Do you see it too?

One of my favorite celebrities, Blake Lively! Her nose looks like she may have had it tweaked a bit too. She looks beautiful either way to me.

Bristol Palin says she would never get plastic surgery unless medically necessary, but did admit to getting corrective jaw surgery to correct an overbite…What do you think?

Kate Gosselin is very open about her plastic surgery, which first started as a tummy tuck after she gave birth to her octuplets!  She seems to look a little different nearly every time I see her and this botox treatment might have been a little much…but nevertheless, she is one hot mama!

Believe it or not, Ryan Gosling has even had a little work done…With out without the nose job, he is one of my favorite Hollywood hotties!

Remember Jocelyn Wildenstein aka The Cat Lady? Recently she has had work done to reverse previous work. What do you think about her recent changes?

  3. How are you going to get that Warm Healthy Glow this Summer – and All Year Round??

    by Katelyn Fry

How are you going to get that Warm Healthy Glow this Summer – and All Year Round??

Of course, all of us here at Air-Tan LOVE Air-Tan and wouldn’t get our healthy glow any other way – but maybe you have never been here before and aren’t quite sure about the whole spray tan thing. Don’t take it from us – check out this article, written by one of our favorite clients, Starla West, about why she LOVES her Air-Tan!

Contrary to popular belief, Starla points out that quite a few of our clients are men. Do you know a man that could use a little color?

  4. Got Premature Aging? Blame it on the Sun!

    by Katelyn Fry

Got Premature Aging? Blame it on the Sun!

Lawmakers and indoor tanning enthusiasts have been debating for years whether indoor tanning is harmful or not. John Overstreet, a spokesman for the Indoor Tanning Association says that there is nothing wrong with being in tanning beds and it is “by far what people want.” He is half right – last year, 30 million Americans visited tanning salons – over 2 million of those, teens. This is a scary thought because according to the FDA, exposure to UV rays causes burns, sun damage, cancer, and even eye damage. According to the FDA there is NO such thing as a safe tan. Any change to the color of the skin, however  light or dark or burnt, is due to the increase in melanin, or skin pigment, and is a sign of sun damage to the skin. Need proof? Look at this picture of identical twins used in a study by Dr. Elma Baron of Case Western Reserve School of Medicine (Cleveland, OH). One used tanning beds while the other did not.  Her findings indicate that signs of premature aging have less to do with genetics than they do with one’s lifestyle.

I know I want my face looking as young as possible for as long as possible and there is indeed a way to get a SAFE tan – get an Air-Tan. You get all the tan you want (or as little!) with absolutely no harm to your face or body!

  5. Who is ready for some FOOTBALL??

    by Katelyn Fry

Who is ready for some football?

This year, Ball State University and Indiana University will each kick off their football seasons at Lucas Oil Stadium on September 3 at 7 PM. Both teams will be showcasing their new coaches – Pete Lembo for IU and Kevin Wilson for BSU. Tickets are already on sale starting at $20 for upper-level, $30 for mid-level, and $40-$50 for lower level seats. There will be student sections on each side of the stadium.

As a Ball State alumna, I am SO excited about this game! I think it will bring so many students and alumni downtown to tailgate, watch, and celebrate two Indiana teams kicking off football

season. Even if you’re not a fan of BSU or IU, it is a great (and affordable!) opportunity to see a game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Ball State decided to host the game at Lucas Oil in hopes of generating more revenue for BSU. Their goal is to sell 40,000 tickets – which would make $700,000 more than hosting the game at Scheumann Stadium. Season ticket holders will receive one ticket to the game – the rest of us can buy tickets by visiting Ticketmaster.

  6. Who loves to watch Jersey Shore?

    by Emily Ross

    Jersey Shore is my FAV

Ok, so I have a confession:  I think Jersey Shore is my FAVORITE show out of all shows.  After the Italy season premiere, I’m pretty sure I am in love.  Jersey Shore does have some contenders for the top spot in my heart…numerous Real Housewives shows, Top Chef, Teen Mom…but JS tops them all.

I have previously blogged about my suspicion of JWoww having plastic surgery on her face, and the latest season premiere totally confirmed it.  Check out this article from UsMagazine that has a great comparison photo: US Magazine The bottom pic clearly shows Jenni raising her eyebrows, but then she still has a perfectly smooth forehead…kinda weird.

Also, Katelyn and I think that Deena got a nosejob, but it is very subtle and really looks great on her.  It looks like the end of it just got shaved down a teensy bit.

As always, the whole crew was lookin’ mighty tan, but I did notice when they showed the previews for later in the season that Jenni and Snooki, especially, looked really pale!  I’m interested to see their trials and tribulations of trying to get brown in Italy.

Please tell me I’m not alone.  Are you obsessed with the Shore too?
