Something I hear from clients all the time – “I want to be able to see my tan” or “I definitely want it to be noticeable” or “Well if I’m paying for it, I might as well go dark!”
And I totally get it! More is better, right? But not always!!
Sometimes a light tan really is the best way to go. It all depends on your natural skin tone. We have a wide range of color options and while we can always give you a deep tan if that’s what you’re after, the darkest level isn’t necessarily what you need! A lighter tan can often times look more natural.
An Air-Tan goes on top of your natural skin color. So even if you do have deeper skin, a level 1 or 2 (out of 5) will still give you a nice bronze glow.
I’m pretty fair and in the summer, I usually go with a level 3 (a medium level) and on me – it looks pretty dark! It’s about how dark I would get if I spent a few weeks tanning in the sun (not that I ever would!)
Isla Fisher’s tan looks awesome in this pic. It’s not much darker than her natural skin color, but her skin is definitely glowing!
If you’re not sure, just ask your technician. We have all been trained to help you choose the best color for your skin.
If you have any other Air-Tan-related questions, just give us a call at any of our salons!
