If you haven’t already planned a special evening for your significant other, you better start now! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Whether you’re looking for ways to take their breath away or for a simple romantic evening – here are a few ideas to show them how much you love them!
1.Take a Romantic Helicopter Tour of the City
See your city from a birds eye view with Indianapolis Helicopters. Seeing the lights will be such a romantic way to spend the evening and you’ll definitely take her breath away!
2. Go Ice-Skating
There is something truly romantic about ice skating with your loved one in the winter. Bundle up and hold hands all night while you skate along, and then warm up together afterwords and with a blanket and some hot chocolate. Whether you get the chance to show off some skills or have to hold on to her to stand up, she’ll love it! Try indoor skating for some warmer temperatures. Check out Indy Fuel Tank in Fishers, The Coliseum at the State Fair Grounds, or the Carmel Ice Skadium in Carmel!
3. Downtown Horse Drawn Carriage Rides
Bundle up and take a horse drawn carriage ride on downtown’s Monument Circle. This is the perfect opportunity to snuggle up under a blanket together and enjoy the sights of downtown Indy. Contact Blue Ribbon Carriages or Yellow Rose Carriages to make your reservation.
4. Recreate your First Date
Recreate your first date or a memorable date. Spend the night reminiscing about past dates. This is usually a simple idea that shows your date that you put a lot of thought into the evening.
5. Spend the Weekend at The Loft at Trader’s Point Creamery
Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, so take the weekend to spend relaxing with your loved one. Trader’s Point Creamery in Zionsville has a special weekend dinner menu for the 12th, 13th, and 14th. Each dinner will be accompanied with live music by classical harpist Jan Aldridge.
6. Go to Dinner Followed by Live Music
This year, the Rathskeller is hosting a three course meal followed by a live performance at 8pm by The Woomblies Rock Orchestra.
Dinner starts at 6pm on Feb. 14th at the Rathskeller on Michigan St. in Downtown, Indy.
Don’t forget that the perfect accessory to any Valentine’s Day outfit is an Air-Tan!
