This rainy summer weather has been ridiculous! Given that you have to wait at least 8 hours after your Air-Tan before you can shower, sweat, or get wet (This includes rain!), rainy days are less than ideal for your tanning appointment. But don’t fret–I’m here to tell you everything you need to know beforehand to make sure you Air-Tan will still turn out perfectly.
What to wear:
- Loose-fitting dark colored clothes–Long sleeves, pants, and a jacket with a hood. Even though it is warm out, wearing these ensure that you will not get any water droplets on you.
- Loose shoes that completely cover your feet–Normally we encourage flip flops or sandals but your tan does not stand a chance in the rain if you are wearing these. Not only will your feet suffer, flip flops will also flip water onto the backs of your legs as well. I usually wear rain boots or sneakers that I can tie very loosely. Uggs or clogs or some sort are a good option as well.
Additional tip: Even when the rain is coming down in buckets and there seems to be no end in sight, the downpour usually significantly lessens after 10-15 minutes. We really prefer for you to wait it out in our lobby as long as it takes before heading out in the rain and risk ruining your tan. Trying to fix a tan after it has been rained on is next to impossible, so please cozy up in our lobby and catch up on the celebrity gossip mags. 🙂
