This is a huge question I get from new clients as soon as they step out of the spray room and see their new, tan self. So, how often should you really Air-Tan? Well, it depends on how often you want to be tan. Are you doing this for special occasions only? Or do you want to maintain your tan on a regular basis? The first thing you must know is an Air-Tan is not like a normal suntan. You do NOT want to build it up over time.
- For the Special Occasion Air-Tanner – Come tan whenever you have a special event. Our tans last about 7-10 days and if you have events close together you just want to make sure you get all of the OLD remainder of your last Air-Tan COMPLETELY 100% off before you come in again. If you are coming every few months or so, your tan should wear off on its own, so there is not a lot of prep to do outside of the norm for your Air-Tan (shave, exfoliate, and leave off lotions, creams and oils).
- ***Money Saving Tip for the Occasional Air-Tanner*** Our “Buy 4, Get 1 Free” Package drops the price of a single session from $35 to $28 per session. This package is good for one whole year and is our only package you can share with other people. It is $140 – This month and next, clients who buy this package will get TWO free instead of the typical ONE. This makes the tans even cheaper – $23.33 a tan! Wowzers. If you split this with a friend, you each will get 3 tans for the price of 2!
- For the Air-Tanner Who Wants to STAY Tan – Come tan once a week. We all do and a TON of our clients do this, too. Since our tans last 7-10 days, if you are coming every 7 days, do make sure you get your tan 100% GONE before having us reapply a new one. Spray tans are like nail polish – if you polish over an already-chipping manicure without removing the old polish, the results may look halfway okay for a day or so – but in the long run, it will look uneven, gross, and chip really fast. Air-Tans (and ALL spray tans) are the SAME way. You never want to layer a new Air-Tan over an old one – even if the old one is pretty faint – it will look splotchy, uneven, the color will be bad, and it will not last long at all. Why? The old Air-Tan still hanging on to your skin is hanging onto dead skin cells that NEED to be exfoliated off. Once these dead skin cells fall off, these areas will be splotchy and white and REALLY noticeable. So, check your tan lines and make sure you have NONE…not even a little one. I promise, your tan will thank you for it. We are the business of making you look GOOD and NATURAL. The #1 key to this is getting old tan off of you before getting a new tan reapplied. Our exclusive Air-Tan Exfoliating Dermal Cleanser helps make this process a breeze with it’s glycolic acid (what is used in facials). The glycolic starts breaking down the Air-Tan as soon as you put it on – so leave it on for a few minutes in the shower, let it work it’s magic, and scrub it off with a washcloth (the rougher or more texture, the better!). When you step out of the shower, rub with your dry towel for a 2nd round of exfoliation. Do this twice before your Air-Tan and you will look perfect every time. I do it the night before and morning of my Air-Tan.
- ***Money Saving Tip for the Weekly Air-Tanner*** Join our monthly unlimited package. It is $88/month, so if you are coming in once a week you save $52/month off of the single-session price. Also, this is our only package that offers free touch-ups on your hands, feet, and face (the first areas to fade) and discounts on ALL of our retail products.
What kind of Air-Tanner are you? Sporadic or Totally Addicted? I am definitely totally addicted, but what an awesome, safe, great-looking addiction to have!!
