If you’ve read some of my previous blogs, it’s no secret that I love a good cocktail. I’m going to share my favorite go-to fall drink, and a couple new ones that I’m hoping to try soon!
1. Liquid Carmel Apple–Ok, so I know this sounds like a shot that’s on the Kilroy’s shooter list, but this is one of my own concoctions. It is really easy (2 ingredients), and I promise it is not too super sweet. To make this, all you need is Simply Apple Juice or any brand of apple cider and Smirnoff Kissed Caramel vodka. I’ve tried other brands, and Smirnoff is definitely the tastiest. You can’t even taste that it’s vodka. I put about 2 shots of vodka into each drink, but you can make it to your own taste. I love this drink so much, I insist that all my friends try it, and so far, I’ve made everyone love it just as much as me. For a hostess or housewarming gift, I bring the Kissed vodka with a half gallon of cider–it’s been a hit! This drink would also be good served warm.
2. Apple Cider Sangria–I just discovered this recipe on Pinterest (of course), and I cannot wait to try it. It uses pinot grigio, apple cider, club soda, and ginger brandy. For the fruit you use apples and pears, which I think is really interesting. It sounds so crisp and refreshing and definitely would be a great drink you could make for a party.
3. Apple Cider Margarita–I love margs in the summer, but I never really thought about them as a fall drink. This recipe uses Grand Marnier like my usual margarita recipe but instead of margarita mix, you use apple cider with the gold tequila. To make it fancy, you can rim your glass with cinnamon and sugar. Fancy!
